Responsibilities:
At Absolute Office Supplies, our Retail Sales Associate/Sales Consultant is responsible for engaging and providing an exceptional customer service experience. The associate must quickly build ongoing customer relationships and become a trusted adviser by utilizing advanced selling skills and knowledge (including cross-selling of products and services) to meet the customer’s needs.
The associate in this role demonstrates a passion for the brand, product and services solutions knowledge. He/she will utilize proven sales principles to proactively engage customers. The associate must quickly develop product and solution expertise in key areas such as technology, furniture, with a general understanding of copy and print.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CONSULTANT

Outline Role: -
To provide Service Desk services to enable the delivery of excellent Software Support services to our clients
The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, thorough and tenacious with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment. This is not simply a customer service or IT Service Desk role, the successful candidate will enjoy a varied and complex role.
Responsibilities: -
The responsibilities of this role are significant and wide ranging, below are detailed the responsibilities and consequently the deliverables required of the ‘Service Desk Consultant’.

Day to Day activities:
-
Having daily contact with the Service team members providing good communications. Upward reporting of progress and problems to the Service Desk Team Leader.

Using problem solving skills to communicate with customers and negotiate on operational challenges and issues.

Influencing and advising customers on standard ways of achieving changes to their needs.

Being a self-starter and able to work independently or as part of a team to identify possible solutions.

Logging and investigating issues/requests and providing first/second line services for those tickets.

Identifying, performing, testing and investigating options around changes/issues with the system software or configuration,

Explaining reasoning behind decisions and identifying opportunities for improvement both operationally, systematically and processes internally.

Effectively analysing situations and working with Development, Testing and Project teams in a professional manner to ensure the very best level of service for our clients.

Identifying and controlling the tasks allocated to you in order to meet specified time scales.

Ensuring clients expectations are set appropriately and are responded to within the agreed SLAs

Ensuring ticket priorities are completed in accordance with the requirements of the client and foresee/prevent client escalation.

RETAIL MERCHANDISING STOCK ASSOCIATE

Job Description: Under general supervision, performs physical labor to place retail stock and supplies in their proper place to create a great “customer experience” environment. Duties include: unloading truck, checking merchandise to purchase order/invoice, stocking merchandise, putting merchandise away from customer use. They will perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Store/General Manager.
Essential Job Functions
• Unload store merchandise from truck.
• Check in merchandise from truck.
• Ensure that merchandise shipments have been received and displayed within twenty-four hours of receival.
• Label or apply merchandise sales tags if necessary to merchandise.
• Restock shelves that require re-stocking.
• Ensure that “put-away” merchandise is taken care of properly.
• Ensure the Store is neat, clean and organized throughout each business day.
• Work with fellow associates to maintain that Asset Protection standards are met all the time.
• Work with associates to achieve Store’s sales plan.
• Actively participates in all programs and procedures that drive sales.
• Treat associates and customers better than they expect.
• Acknowledge and greet customers that are within a close (ten-foot) radius or ten seconds of arriving where the associate is working.
• Acknowledge by signature that weekly “Store Bulletin” has been read. (Store information flyer.)
Minimum Training and Experience
Communication skills and knowledge of Math and English required. Must be able work a standard workday as set by West Marine. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds to shoulder height unassisted. Computer skills preferred. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
